“Bless
You”
Whenever
someone sneezes, you say “Bless you” or hear someone else say these words.
People
say bless you when someone sneezes because it is believed that when someone
sneezes there is a sickness coming to them. This originates from a thousand
years ago when people use to say Jupiter preserve you. They said this because
it meant good health, this started in the bubonic plague people thought that sneezing
was a symptom of this. This saying originated from Germany when the Pope said
that it was because of sneezing people was getting sick.
