Global career opportunities

Outside countries may offer different careers or similar careers to those in America. I would like to work in Japan, New England, or maybe just stay in the United States.

Japan

Now that the Japan Society has been bringing the people of Japan and the United States closer together through understanding, appreciation and cooperation we can work together in peace. There will be more job opportunities and for us and them. A job opportunity that Japan is seeking is a dynamic Gallery Director. A dynamic Gallery Director does the following; they develop and implement engaging and innovative exhibitions of both traditional and contemporary Japanese art and culture. This job requires demonstrated record of outstanding curatorial experience, artistic vision, and leadership skills to be able to engage and inspire American and global audiences and the arts community. Another career opportunity would be an engineer. Many Japanese companies (including those in the electronics, automotive and heavy manufacturing industries) are open to hiring foreign engineers. There are a great number of engineering jobs in Japan — it's not a function most Japanese companies are willing to offshore. They do not only offer this to people from other countries they also have this for the people there.

New England

Some careers in New England that are available are Historic keeper, Physician, Aquarist, and working in health. If you follow the career of a Historic keeper then you will do many things. A Historic keeper does the following; collects and preserves buildings, landscapes, and objects dating from the seventeenth century to the present and uses them to keep history alive and to help people develop a deeper understanding and enjoyment of New England life and appreciation for its preservation. Another job you can follow in New England is a physician. This career is in the medical field. When you follow this career path you usually do the following; they study medicine, find treatments, and cure those in need. In New England you can also take the job of becoming an Aquarist which is someone who works in an aquarium. When you follow this career opportunity then you will do the following; take care of aquatic animals, feed the animals, get training, and also work full time.

Reflection: There are many different career opportunities out there in different countries. Some of them I like some of them I don’t. There are two places I would really like to work at which is Japan and New England. I would like to work in a different country because it’s a great opportunity to meet new places and change my usual every day routine. I think this can be a good chance to learn more of the practices and culture of different countries. Although I might permanently stay there or maybe I won’t. The best part will be to have experienced a career in that country. Hopefully one day I will get to experience working in a different country.
