Student Success Statement
“If I've got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.”
Dan Dierdorf

Reflection: this is true because if all you do is the right thing and things will come to you and you wouldn't have to ask for anything in return. When you do the right you are always happy and never mad. This is just the good part of choosing the right all the time everything goes good and you are going to be good.

GOOD VALUES
“The most important thing you will ever have is good values.”
Dennis Prager
Reflection: some good values that I have are my manners, my home, and my traditions. These are important because is something you should stand by no matter what other people tell you. people tend to go with what they feel instead of going for what the value. they do this because they don't have values or they just want to feel good. for example some one who steals would rather have the thing they want and be happy than support their values and stick by them.
Optician
Duties and Responsibilities: Dispensing opticians help fit eyeglasses and contact lenses, following prescriptions from ophthalmologist and optometrists. They also help customers decide which eyeglass frames or contact lenses to buy. Opticians typically do the following: Receive customers’ prescriptions for eyeglasses or contact lenses, measure customers’ eyes, such as the distance between their pupils, help customers choose eyeglass frames and lens treatments, such as eye-wear for occupational use or sports, tints or anti-reflective coatings, based on their vision needs style preferences, create work orders for ophthalmic laboratory technicians, providing information about the lenses needed, adjust eye-wear to ensure fit, repair or replace broken eyeglass frames and perform business tasks, such as maintain sales records, keeping track of customers’ prescriptions, and ordering and maintain inventory.
Salary: $21,030-$52,740
Education: Opticians typically have a high school diploma or equivalent and learn job skills through on-the-job training. Training includes technical instruction in which, for example, a new optician measures a customer’s eyes or adjusts frames under the supervision of an experienced optician. Trainees also learn sales and office management practices. Some opticians complete an apprenticeship, which typically takes at least 2 years. About half of the states require opticians to be licensed. Licensure usually requires completing formal education through an approved program or completing an apprenticeship. In addition, opticians must pass one or more exams to be licensed. The optician licensing board in each state can supply information on licensing requirements.

Reflection: I would become this because I have glasses and I would like to help other people who also need glasses.

NOTHING
“Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”
Wilford Woodruff
Reflection: This is true although sometimes people who do bad get money or a reward in the inside they gain nothing. They gain nothing because they are sad and the guilt is just eating away at their soul because they can never undo that bad choice. For example when someone does something right they are happy and filled with joy and they want to spread that join wherever they go. While when they make a bad choice they are sad and don’t know what to do all they are is grumpy and mean.
LAUSD: Families
·        Parents: Got questions?
Ø  This benefits them because if any parent needs to know something they can just go here and ask.
Ø  If you use this it shows you a list of frequently asked questions. You can also send in one of your questions that are not there and they will answer.
Ø  I think if my family ever needed a school related question answered they would go here.
·        Parent Resources
Ø  This is very helpful in many ways because you can find out how a certain school is going in academics. Not only that but you can also find out any news or updates of school related things.
Ø  This gives you a list of recent things and then you can also search something specific that you are looking for.
Ø  My family would use this to mark their calendar for any school events or important school related things.
·        School Volunteer Program
Ø  This is very helpful because if anyone wants to help out the school but they don’t know how then they can find the answers they need here in this page.
Ø  This shows you a page of different schools and their information. You can also search for a specific school you wish to volunteer at.

Ø  My family would use this because the like to help out and volunteer and different places in their free time.

An Internal Phenomenon
“The reward for doing right is mostly an internal phenomenon: Self-respect, dignity (self-worth), integrity, and self-esteem.”
Dr. Laura Schlessinger

Reflection: This is true. I would say that when you do good you feel great but when you do bad you feel terrible. For example sometimes people get paid for doing wrong like stealing or killing someone. Once they do that wrong and receive money or materialistic things, they can’t help but to feel terrible inside sort of like the guilt is eating them away. When a person does something good they already feel great so there is no need for receiving a prize of any sort. If they do receive a prize they most likely won’t want it because they don’t need it when they already feel good.
